ESP NI are a managed IT service provider operating within the UK and Ireland. With significant growth over the last number of years we currently require an apprentice engineer to join our team.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with a passion for technology.

ESP is seeking an apprentice for an IT support role while studying one day a week in Belfast Met, Castlereagh Campus.

The successful applicant will be joining a friendly team focused on delivering first class service and support to clients. The role is varied and ESP is committed to personal development of all their employees. You will be given the guidance and training to excel, this is a fantastic opportunity to break into the IT industry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

•  1st line desktop and remote support
• Ensure support requests are logged correctly and support cases are regularly updated
• Develop and maintain support documentation on customer sites as well as internal knowledgebase
• Responding in a professional manner and delivering excellent customer service at all times
• General administration tasks on occasions if instructed by your line manager

Qualities/ requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both by e-mail and over the phone
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to learn quickly and get to grips with IT Systems
• Confident using Microsoft products and services
• Ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences
• Be a good team player
• Hard working with a passion for study
• A hunger to learn and develop
• A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car would be beneficial.
